You all have been asking for dubstep/electronic lately, so here it is. I’m generally not a huge fan of electronic/dubstep because to be quite honest, it all sounds the same to me. But for some reason when I got this EP in the submissions inbox today, I decided to give it a listen. I had heard some pretty lights in the past, and in general it was pretty ill. This EP really surprised me, in a good way. As opposed to all of the other electronic songs i’ve heard, each song on this EP is totally different and unique, it’s really dope. I could see Webby spittin’ some serious fire over a few of these tracks. Learn more about the Colorado duo we know as pretty lights here.

This 100% makes up for Ye’s awful G.O.O.D Friday track. Dope remix of Runaway from Kinetics & One Love. The beat is a given, everyone already knows and loves it, but these boys from Cornell really brought it with the vocals and lyrics.

Uhh.. Happy friday? Kind of seems like Ye just took a bunch of hooks, a bunch of beats, and a bunch of sound effects, threw them together, and created this. Maybe the gold teeth are poisoning him? I really don’t know but this is just strange. We can’t expect the man to give us an amazing track every week, he’s only human. Let’s just hope he steps it up a level for next week.

To be honest.. I was nervous to play this track for the first time. Mike Posners version of this song has been over played for months now, to the point that I cringe when I hear it on the radio. As it turns out, I never should have doubted. Collin found a way to completely re-energize the song to make it fun to listen to and dope once again. Collin has tons of talent and an incredible voice, I can safely say he brings more energy to the track than Posner ever did. Look out for more from Collin as he puts the finishing touches on his upcoming album, and catch up on some of the work hes already put out here.

Great collaboration, great track. I’ve been a huge fan of Rockie since I first heard his mixtape “Rockies Modern Life“. He works with dope samples and spits refreshingly relatable lyrics. He’s currently working on a new collab project with Brandun Deshay entitled “It’s A Process” and also a mixtape of his own set to drop on December 14th entitled “Otherside”.
