Christmas seemingly comes fifty-three times a year–once for the actual birth of our Lord and Savior, and fifty-two equally glorious (if that’s not too sacrilege to claim) installations of Timeflies Tuesdays. Here, though, is that elusive fifty-forth Jesus Day: Timeflies dropped a grimy remix of Outasight’s breakout “Tonight Is The Night” featuring a verse from our beloved Cal, piercing bass from the fingers of producer Rez, and tits. Oh, how I love tits. Download here, add to your car/sex/car sex playlist, and feel free to lean back, grab a straight drink (on the rocks, of course), and enjoy.
Why, yes–yes, she is. Thanks, captains obvious!
In all seriousness, though, Cal’s wordplay is on point. Also, boobs. B00B$. B ( . ) ( . ) bs!
It’s about that GODDAMN time of FUCKING year again–MOTHERFUCKING finals. Yay. I can’t FUCKING wait for my ASSBITCH AP Bio final, which should
RAPE ME UP THE ASS present quite a challenge, but I shall overcome. Thankfully, MOTHAFUGGIN Timeflies has a chemical solution to all your study-motivation needs: introducing “Adderall and Red Bull!” Sure, it’s a deadly combination–your heart could never take it–but you sure AS FUCK can get a whole lotta’ studying done! Oh, and the song’s pretty fuckin’ good, too.
“Fiddy back, Fiddy back/That’s all these bitches screamin’, that Fiddy back” - “Fiddy Back,” Rick Ross
Alright, fine, I made that up–Rozay never actually did a song about 50 Cent. But it seems perfectly plausible, right? It seems like Fiddy’s been a bit MIA since Before I Self Destruct dropped back in ’09 (y’know, that one with the Ne-Yo and Em features… wait, does anybody actually remember that album?), but with The Big 10, it seems that Curtis Jackson would like to be back in the spotlight the former crack dealer had dominated for much of the 2000s. This is gangta shit, straight-up–check joints like “Shooting Guns” if you need any sort of confirmation. Good to have you back, big guy. (As usual, Rap Genius provides the lyrics)
I usually avoid plugging my friends’ shit. I’ve tried, time and time and time again, to stay away from nepotism; it’s the little fucking gnat that annoys the shit out of me whenever I peruse other blogs. “OMG MY BEST FRIEND’S COUSIN’S FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD STEPBROTHER IS AMAZING AT RAP!! CHEKK HIM OUTT!!!” Fuck, no. But, in the case of Chicago outfit The Break, I’ll break (no goddamn pun intended, and don’t doubt my lack of purposeful punnyness) my personal rules and rep the shit out of them. “Here Tonight,” a track that debuted at the legendary Lincoln Hall as they opened for Britpop sensation Viva Brother last week, is the group’s strongest cut yet–and (just in case their youthful appearance didn’t already give it away) they’re just seniors. In high school. The record is a gorgeous, ethereal indie ballad that sounds like Because of the Times-era Kings of Leon meets an even more downtrodden (if that’s even possible) Bloc Party. Check “Here Tonight” out, like ‘em on Facebook, and, if you’re ever in Chitown, give these guys a shout.
Sunday was exciting. S17 got to hang with Sonny, Mendoza, Mik, OnCue, JAMS, and Kidd Russell at Reggie’s Rock Club in Chicago, where The Dean’s List and Cuey performed as part of the Pledge to Rage Tour. Oh, yeah, almost forgot–we kinda got an interview with our Boston boys, too. Check out the interview, and feel free to view some footage from the show below.
